Wing Commander

Civil Air Patrol

Col Ashley LaPlante is Civil Air Patrol’s Connecticut Wing Commander. She is the senior officer on the wing command staff and is responsible to the corporation and to the region commander for ensuring that Corporation objectives, policies, and operational directives are effectively executed within their wing. She is responsible for the achievement of established goals and programs by all units and by establishing new goals and programs within the wing in support of the corporation’s objectives.

LaPlante holds two master’s degrees, Organizational Leadership and Business Administration from Quinnipiac University, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. She is a Project Engineer at Pratt & Whitney.
