Head of Stabilisation Service Center and Head of Sub-officeUNDPDr Charles Nach Mback is a multi-university graduate from University of Yaoundé in Cameroon (PhD in Public Law) and University Montesquieu, Bordeaux 4 in France (PhD in Law)
He started his career as University lecturer, with public administration, Legal studies, Governance and institutional reforms in Africa. He has served in Cameroon, his home country (University of Yaounde 2 and University of Douala), Rwanda (University of Butare/Houye and Université Libre de Kigali-ULK). In parallel, Dr Charles Nach Mback expanded his area of expertise to include economics including international development cooperation and debt policies before gradually embarking on international development works. Since 2020, Dr Charles Nach Mback holds a senior position with the Home | United Nations Development Programme (undp.org) as Head of the Stabilization Service Center and Head of Sub-office in Chad. This follows à 4-year engagement as Head of the Office of the United Nations Coordinator in the CAR, consecutive to his previous assignment as head of European Union Mission in the same country. This came after his long-term assignments in Sierra Leone with UNDP and in the Solomon Islands with UNCDF that followed his mission in the South Sudan with WINROK/USAID as Democracy and Governance advisor, in DRC with https://www.enabel.be/ as programme coordinator, in Rwanda with Home | SNV Netherlands. Before that, Dr Charles Nach Mback worked as regional policy advisor for Decentralization and local economic development for Africa. Dr Charles Nach Mback is author of many papers published in reputable international journals, including a book on “Decentralisation and Democratisation” in Africa, Ed. Karthala, Paris, France. |
