PresidentElectric Boat Management Association24 Veteran of the US Navy, (1982-2006). Served on 9 different Submarines during my 24 year career. 2 years as a Test Engineer at the Naval Underwater Warfare Center in Newport, RI. Wrote tests for the New Radio Equipment on the Virginia Class programs to prove all the radio equipment. Then did the same for the OHIO Class SSGN conversion submarines (2006-2008). (2008-Present) Engineering Systems Specialist at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT.
Started as Senior Test Engineer then made Engineering Specialist. Spent 12 years working on new equipment designs for Seawolf Class Submarines. Then went into a rotation program. Spent one year in Critiques Department conducting over 40 critiques and doing process improvement. Then a year in Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive Devices (ESDS) writing instructions for Columbia Class design programs. The last 3 years have been in Waterfront Engineering. First working on USS Hartford overhaul packages to clean, inspect and fix the non nuclear equipment on the ship, then going through Nuclear training and am currently working as a Nuclear Engineer on the Hartford overhaul. I am the current President of the Electric Boat Management Association (EBMA) which has 4300 engineers. I am currently serving as an advisor to the President of Mitchel College in New London, CT. |
