Paul invests great energy in academic, industry and not-for-profit organizations. Paul has been active serving on professional and community boards of directors for over 30 years. Paul is a board member with the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center at Stony Brook University, an editorial board member for Wiley's Climate and Energy Journal, and Springer's Energy Efficiency Journal. Paul has published over 12 dozen professional articles and papers. Paul was named one of New York City & State's "Responsible 100" recognizing 100 of New York's most outstanding corporate citizens, executives, thought leaders, visionaries, and influencers in promoting core principles of social responsibility: charity, community engagement, customer service, diversity and inclusion, equity, ethics, transparency, sustainability, and volunteerism.
