My Name is Richard (Rick) Gates. I am a Supervisor/Manager/Trainor for Robert J. Devereaux Corp (DVX) of Malden. We are a utility contractor for the natural gas industry. I am a high school grad, a CWI, welding instructor and supervise the welding division I created at DVX. Throughout my 40+ years in welding and steel fabrication, I have worked directly with engineers and management to complete hundreds of projects throughout New England.

​I am an entrepreneur and have started and owned 6 different small businesses during my working career. However, helping evolve DVX towards a 21st century approach to business is my most rewarding experience. When I am not playing tennis, golf or enjoying our boat, I love to work in my yard at my home in Essex, MA.
