Director, Marketing & Communications

Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven

Sarah Domena’s passion for strengthening the community has led her to her current role as the Director of Communications and Marketing for the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven. Here, she concentrates on strategic and grassroots marketing, community engagement, and fostering philanthropy with various donors and community organizations to accomplish charitable objectives and enhance community support. Sarah holds a BS in Marketing and Communications from Southern Connecticut State University and an MBA from Albertus Magnus College, both in New Haven.

Her previous roles have been in development, community outreach, and fundraising for local non-profits, as well as Marketing and Customer Relations in the corporate sector. She is a member of the Steering Committee for the Non-Profits Resource Council of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, and sits on the Board of Directors for IVCG, an organization that focuses on helping seniors.

Sarah is a graduate of the Milford Chapter of PLTI (Parent/Teacher Leadership Institute). Career accomplishments include being an essential member of a Medical Technologies Start-up product launch team; launching the Volunteer and Leadership Council; raising substantial donations in matching corporate gifts; and implementing peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns resulting in a 265% increase in donations.

Sarah is honored to join the Women in Leadership Advisory Board. Her expertise in marketing, communications, and development will grow and improve the program.
Sarah considers her greatest achievement to be her family, where she is a proud mom of 3 wonderfully active boys; Noah, Wes, and Adam, whom she is raising with her husband, Jay, along with their dog, Cannon, and cats, Gordy and Reggie. In her ‘free’ time, Sarah can be found instructing indoor cycling classes, where she has held a certificate for over 10 years, and traveling whenever the opportunity arises.
