Sergeant, Environmental PoliceRhode Island Department of Environmental ManagementSgt. Sheila Paquette, has attended advanced level courses through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the National Association of Conservation Law Enforcement Chiefs, and International Association of Chiefs of Police. Sheila is a presenter and Senior Trainer for crime scene management, investigation techniques, radioactive and nuclear detection, as well as vessel handling and operations. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Management, an MPA, and a Certificate in City Management.
Sheila is a graduate of the Women in Leadership with AI Driven Engagement Program at the University of New Haven. A mentor for young students and career driven employees, she has served on Regional and International Boards of Directors and currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Women in Leadership Program at the University of New Haven. She is the recipient of the National Association of Boating Law Administrators Boating Officer of the year award, the North American Wildlife Enforcement Officers Association Outstanding Service Award and the RI DEM Distinguished Service Award. |
